Pam joined ArtsNow in September 2006 on a full-time basis, after contracting with the organization for about a year. Pam brings a wealth of educational and arts experience to this organization, having served as a music teacher, administrator and curriculum specialist in various schools. One of the highlights of Pam’s educational career involved literally turning around one of the lowest performing schools in an inner city in North Carolina. When Pam joined the faculty at this particular school, she oversaw curriculum development and implementation, and helped develop this school into an arts-focused school, completely changing the culture of the school in a way that led to increased student and teacher morale, increased students achievement, and improved student behavior. After leaving public school teaching, Pam taught at Meredith College in North Carolina and Georgia State University. Immediately prior to joining ArtsNow, Pam worked as a consultant for various educational organizations.
